Increasing equitable access to quality, affordable healthcare tailored to fit a community's needs.
At LifeWise, our purpose is to improve customers' lives by making healthcare work better. That means we need to recognize the areas where healthcare falls short. Many long-standing health inequities exist because of poverty, systemic racism, and discrimination. The result is unfair, unjust, and can have a negative impact on health.
Health equity goals
- Thinking outside of traditional healthcare responses will help address real-life, common challenges that prevent people from accessing the care they deserve
- Solutions that improve the health for our populations will benefit other historically marginalized groups
- A fair healthcare system can and should improve health outcomes and quality of care and contribute to the elimination of racial and ethnic health disparities
