New 2020 Individual Plans

September 19, 2019

We have several important changes to share with you regarding the plans we’ll offer on the Washington Health Insurance Exchange for 2020. We’re making changes because the market landscape of the exchange in our state is evolving and we want to offer our customers access to healthcare and health plans at an affordable price. This means we’re going to offer new exclusive provider organization (EPO) plans and new provider networks in a different mix of counties for 2020.

New network for our LifeWise individual health plans effective January 1, 2020, the LifeWise Connect network will no longer exist. It will be replaced with LifeWise Primary, our new network for our LifeWise individual plans. We’re expanding our plan offerings for 2020 to 33 Washington counties.

New vendor for our new individual plans

To help us manage our new individual plans, we’ve hired Evolent Health to handle administrative functions. Some of these functions will include customer service, claims, care management, and our secure member and provider websites.

As we get closer to 2020, we’ll share more details about our new plans and the important changes you’ll need to know to help us care for our individual members.
