On September 26, Eli Lilly and Company voluntarilyrecalled Glucagon® Emergency Kit for Low Blood Sugar. There was a product complaint reporting thatthe vial of Glucagon was in liquid form instead of the powder form. The use ofthe liquid form of this product may fail to treat severe low blood sugar due toloss of potency.
Members are advised to consult with their doctor to confirm ifthey received an affected lot, and if appropriate, about alternative treatmentoptions.
