Since August is Immunization Awareness Month, here are some new and revised Category 1 CPT Vaccine Codes available for use:
#90619 – Meningococcal conjugate vaccine, serogroups A, C, W, Y, quadrivalent, tetanus toxoid carrier (MenACWY-TT), for intramuscular use
- Out of sequence code effective July 1, 2019
- FDA approval is pending
- Code will be published in the 2020 CPT codebook
90734 – Meningococcal conjugate vaccine, serogroups A, C, W, Y, and W135, quadrivalent, diphtheria toxoid carrier (MCV4 or MedACWY-D) or CRM197 carrier (MedACWY-CRM), for intramuscular use
- Revisions effective July 1, 2019
- Code will be published in the 2020 CPT Codebook
#90694 – Influenza virus vaccine, quadrivalent (allV4), inactivated, adjuvanted, preservative free, 0.5 ml dosage, for intramuscular use
- Out of sequence code effective January 1, 2020
- FDA approval is pending
- Code will be published in the 2020 CPT codebook
