LifeWise has extended the length of approval for prior authorizations to 180-days from the current 90-days. This change is effective to prior authorizations received on or after August 16, 2021.
When a prior authorization is submitted and approved, it will automatically receive a 180-day window for the service to be performed. Any courses of treatment will remain the same; there will just be additional time for them to be completed. Additionally, refer to the approval some drugs have unique approval windows.
