The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline was launched in 2022 to provide people with immediate crisis intervention and support. In addition to the 988 crisis line, Washington state legislators enhanced a new ruling requiring health plans to make next-day appointments available to members experiencing urgent behavioral health issues starting January 1, 2023.
LifeWise is prepared to coordinate with providers to secure next-day appointments for members who call with an urgent behavioral health need.
